I don't know about you, but whenever spring rolls in and summer is around the corner, all I want to do is sit outside, drink cold beer, grill something delicious, and watch my son play in the yard until dusk. It's what makes a perfect weekend in my book.

Although there are a couple of things on our 'to do' list to spruce up our outdoor living space, we cleaned it up this last weekend so that we can begin to enjoy it everyday. We love to grill out with friends, so we wanted to create a cozy environment where we can all kick back and enjoy each other's company. Just like our living room, our outdoor space is ever-changing, and probably will look different next year. But for now, it works.

I think it's so important to have ample seating. We have two love seats, four single seats, and our outdoor dining table can seat 6-8 (I'm currently looking for new outdoor dining chairs). We just purchased two more of the World Market white wicker chairs to go with our White, Navy and Green motif. These chairs are awesome because you can just spray them off with some light bleach water and they clean up nicely. In addition to the white, navy and green color scheme I have going on, I added some red flowers for a fun pop of color.

In the fall and early spring, I love to cozy up on our couches with a comfy throw. There's something that feels so good about sitting outside covered up by a blanket and watching a movie under the stars (or college football in the fall).

Our back deck is right off of our kitchen, which makes it perfect for summertime entertaining with family and friends. We serve appetizers inside, drinks outside, and move freely between the spaces.
